Nice little weekend planned…
Sadly, I will be busy working all weekend, but here are some great events that YOU could enjoy!
Piggly Wiggly BBQ Championship and Bluegrass Festival – This event will be held at Boone Hall Plantation on Sunday. If for some insane reason the BBQ Championship wasn’t enough to get you out of the house, there will be live music, a dunking booth, and a mechanical bull. Still don’t want to go? Well, then come work for me so I can, damnit!
The Charleston Beach Music and Shag Festival – Ok, I’ll admit, this one is a little confusing. And not just because the Beach Music and Shag Preservation Society of South Carolina has the longest domain name EVER. The title makes you think the event will be held near some sort of body of water. It will actually be held at Plan B (formally Halligan’s) in West Ashley. Regardless, it should be a fun time! The fun begins Sunday and ends on Monday. There will be DJs, bands, workshops, drinks and food.

Bitters 101 – Another cool event I’m going to miss! Learn all about bitters and their roles in cocktails at the Cocktail Club!
The Lowcountry Jazz Festival– Saturday, 7:30pm, North Charleston Performing Arts Center.
The Pour House 9th Anniversary – On Saturday and Sunday the Pour House will be celebrating it’s 9th Anniversary with lots of live music!
The Citadel – Home football game at 6pm on Saturday!
Also, be sure to catch the Charleston Riverdogs through Monday as they close out their regular season home schedule.
