Waterfront Ice Skating Rink to Return to Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina

This season, a little slice of the North Pole returns to South Carolina as The Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina announces that its synthetic ice-skating rink and Winter Wonderland experience is back for another year. Scheduled to open on Thanksgiving Day, ‘Ice Skating on the Point’ will once again delight guests of all ages throughout the holiday season along with fun activities and festive treats. The rink is open to hotel guests at The Beach Club and Harborside as well as local residents. As a 100% recyclable and non-toxic, the rink has no energy costs associated, making it a “green” alternative to traditional ice rinks.

To help warm up to Charleston’s dropping temperatures, the Winter Wonderland will offer cozy delicacies like hot cocoaand gourmet s’mores kits designed to be cooked over the surrounding area fire pits.Leading up to Christmas, other fun activities will take place for those boys and girls on the good list this year including a Skate with Santa session and the chance to build gingerbread houses. Jump castles, games and more will also help little elves keep uptheir energized excitement.Meanwhile, adults can sip on a glass of the resort’s signature beer, Patriots Point Lager,brewed by Rusty Bull Brewing Company.

The Winter Wonderland will be open Wednesdays -Fridays, from 3 pm –8 pm and Saturdays –Sundays, 1-8pm from Nov. 23throughFeb. 4, 2024. The rink will cost $15(Wednesday and Thursday) or $18(Fridays –Sundays with special events included) for 50 minutes of skating plus ice skate rental.Groups of up to fourcan also stay toasty with a harborside and rinkside firepit experience ($35 per hour with s’mores packets not included).

The rink is available to reserve midweek for group events, birthday parties, school field trips and corporate teambuilding. Changes to the operating schedule can be found on the resort’s website and social channels.
