You’re Free, Turtles!!!
The South Carolina Aquarium announced (via Twitter) that there will be a sea turtle release at the Isle of Palms County Park this Friday. A loggerhead sea turtle who only has 3 flippers will be released back into the ocean after spending 4 months at the rehabilitation center at the Aquarium. The event is FREE, but you should get there early. The event is slated to start at 1pm.

Also, Loggerhead’s Beach Grill on Folly Beach will be throwing Logtoberfest this Saturday. The event will support the Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Rescue Program.
