Urban Picnic’s Hide and Seek Pumpkins

Burger Babies, a new (and yummy!) downtown joint will be throwing another Urban Picnic this Friday near their 293 King Street address. The alley party will feature live music, beer, burgers, and more! The FREE event runs from 5-8 pm and benefits the Chase After A Cure foundation. The excitement for the event has already started as Burger Babies has started a hide-and-seek game of sorts. They have put a few pumpkins around downtown which advertise the event. If you find one of the pumpkins, grab it and bring it to the Urban Picnic for a free prize! You can see pictures of the pumpkins HERE.

Here’s some more information about the event straight from the Burger Babies Facebook Page: “Urban Picnic will be asking local celebrities to design a pumpkin. The pumpkins reflect the stars personalities and will be on display during the party. In an effort to save the pumpkins, the public can donate money to the pumpkin they like the most. The pumpkin that raises the most money will be saved from being smashed. The other pumpkins won’t be so fortunate as, the 7 year old boy which Chase After A Cure is named, Chase Ringler makes a special appearance and drops them from the rooftop to the hard pavement below. 100% of the money raised from all the celebrity pumpkins will go to Chase After A Cure.

Guests will also be given the opportunity to make their own versions of punk pumpkins free of charge.

As always, specials include $2.00 burgers, $1.50 PBR, and $2.50 micro brews.

The event is free to the public.”
