Battle of Secessionville

149 years after the original, The Battle of Secessionville will take place again this Saturday and Sunday at Boone Hall Plantation. Thankfully, this time around it’s just a reenactment of the famous fight. Confederate soldiers on James Island held off Union troops in the original battle and prevented an invasion of Charleston.
