Firefly Launches New Southern Flavors
The fine folks at Irvin-House Vineyards just couldn’t leave well enough alone. Tasty wine just wasn’t enough so they launched the incredible Firefly line of sweet tea-flavored vodkas. A lemonade concoction was next, then a sweet tea bourbon and who could forget their line of rums?
What could possibly be next? Southern Accent Liqueurs, that’s what. Firefly announced the three additions this past Friday and they sound delicious. Traditional Southern tastes continue to be the company’s theme as the liqueur flavors are: Banana Pudding, Peach Cobbler, and Pecan Pie. The new items are currently only available at the Firefly Distillery on Wadmalaw Island, but are expected to hit South Carolina shelves in 2012.
If you can’t wait that long, you can get a bottle at the Distillery for $20. You can pick them up during scheduled tasting times. Wine, Vodka, and Rum tastings are Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm. (Wine tastings are $4 per person, Firefly Vodka and Sea Island Rum tastings are $6 per person).
