Elise Testone is Your American Idol?

Local singer Elise Testone will be on this season of American Idol – that is, if you believe the rumors circulating on the internet. Multiple sites are reporting the Charleston crooner will be one of the 42 finalists on the 11th season of the show. No confirmation has come from the FOX network or Testone camps, so we’ll have to wait and see. The first episode aired Wednesday night.

Testone and her band (the Freeloaders) won the Funk/Soul/R&B Artist of the Year award in the Charleston City Paper’s Music issue in 2011. In fact, The City Paper has more details HERE.
