BREAKING NEWS:: TORNADO WARNING

BREAKING NEWS :: There has been a TORNADO WARNING issued for many parts of the Lowcountry until 3:15 pm on Saturday. Everyone get inside and be safe! The Post and Courier has more info HERE.

-“The weather service cautioned that a tornado in this storm might be wrapped in rain and not easily seen. “If you wait until you see or hear it coming it may be too late,” the Weather Service said. “Take shelter now.”

-“Report any hail, downed trees and limbs and power lines to the Charleston office of the National Weather Service at the toll-free number, 1-888-383-2024.”

-“Counties included in the watch are Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Beaufort, Berkeley, Calhoun, Charleston, Cherokee, Chester, Chesterfield, Clarendon, Colleton, Darlington, Dorchester, Edgefield, Fairfield, Florence, Georgetown, Greenwood, Hampton, Jasper, Kershaw, Lancaster, Laurens, Lee, Lexington, McCormick, Marlboro, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, Saluda, Spartanburg, Sumter, Union, Williamsburg and York.”

-Also, a severe thunderstorm watch was in effect until 9 p.m. for the entire tri-county and many surrounding counties.

 

***UPDATE*** The Tornado Warning has now been canceled. Remain cautious as severe storms are still expected!
