Brett Gardner Returns To Charleston
ABC NEWS 4 has a good video about the return of New York Yankee outfielder and Summerville resident Brett Gardner to Charleston. Gardner played for the Riverdogs on Friday night as part of his injury rehab assignment. Gardner was born in Holly Hill and played for the College of Charleston, but never suited up for the hometown Riverdogs until this weekend. You can see the piece HERE.

The only downside to the homecoming? Gardner had a setback with his elbow injury, which you can read more about HERE.
On a side note – I was fortunate enough to meet Gardner earlier this year in Summerville. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy and great representative of the Lowcountry. I’m sad to see he had another setback and wish him a speedy recovery!
