Marley Lion Music Festival
A music festival honoring Marley Lion, the local teen murdered in a parking lot in West Ashley, will be held at James Island County Park on July 29th. The Marley Lion Music Festival will run from 4 pm to 8 pm and is $5 plus park admission (the event is free for children under 12). Proceeds will benefit the Heart of The Lion Fund, which will make grants to nonprofit organizations.
Marley was a recent graduate of Academic Magnate and was only 17-years-old at the time of his death. His murder is still being investigated. Anyone with information about the crime should talk to Crime Stoppers.
