Turtle Nests Poached on Folly
Multiple news outlets have reported that last month some loggerhead nests were raided and over 200 eggs stolen. Footprints around the nests confirm that the eggs were stolen by humans. The Folly Beach Turtle Watch Program is offering a $100 reward for information leading to the arrest of anyone involved. If you have information please send an e-mail to crew@follyturtles.com.
More specifically, if you noticed any activity near turtle nests on the evenings of June 3 or June 7, or in the very early mornings of June 4 or June 8, please contact the above e-mail address or Folly Beach Public Safety at 843-588-2433 or email helpthem@follyturtles.com. Use those same contacts if you notice anything similar happening in the future
