Booze Ban Supporters Have Enough Signatures
Elections officials have verified that supporters of the Folly Beach alcohol ban have collected enough signatures on a petition which will give the City County a chance to enact the measure without putting it to a vote in November.
The Council will meet on August 14th and either opt for the ban to permanently go into effect (instead of ending after Labor Day) or allow the residents to vote on the referendum in November.
