Sea Turtle Release Thursday on Kiawah

According to The South Carolina Aquarium’s Facebook Page, there will be a sea turtle release on Kiawah Island this Thursday! The event will start at 3 pm on Beachwalker County Park.

Two turtles, Grover and Pier, will be returning to the sea after making full recoveries from the Sea Turtle Hospital. The turtles have overcome injury and illness and are ready to go back into the wild! You can read about each turtle’s road to recovery here: Grover, Pier.

I’ve attended two sea turtle releases at Isle of Palms and really enjoyed them. I highly recommend it, especially if you have kids.
