Grape Stomping Festival

Published

on

The always entertaining Grape Stomping Festival  is back at the Irvin-House Vineyards. The annual event will take place this Saturday (8/25) from 12 pm until 5 pm out on Wadmalaw Island.

There are plenty of events throughout the day, but the highlight will probably be the grape stomping contest. Contestants will try to produce more grape juice than their counterparts within a three-minute timeframe.

Mac Leaphart and My Ragged Company will provide the soundtrack for the day, while some awesome food trucks will have delicious food for sale. Carolina Creole, Farm on Fire, Home Team BBQ, and Jack’s Cosmic Dogs are all slated to appear.

Besides having fun, you’ll also be supporting a great cause because a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Lowcountry Local First.

Side note – If you do attend, I highly recommend trying one of the “Famous Frozen Wine-a-Ritas.” You won’t be sorry.
