***UPDATE*** 12/4/12: The Green Door has confirmed that they will be opening on Tuesday, December 11th.
***UPDATE*** 12/3/12: The Charleston City Paper attend the pop-up dinner and posted their review HERE. Meanwhile, Eater Charleston is reporting the restaurant is set to open next week.
The folks behind the super popular Roti Rolls food truck are trying their hand at a more permanent locale. They took over a portion of Big John’s on East Bay Street and will use the space to open The Green Door. They have dubbed the establishment a “street eatery” and will host a pop-up preview dinner to celebrate.
The dinner will feature a six course tasting menu as well as the option of wine and beer pairings. The event is happening on Friday, November 30th at 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
