“Rumors & Notes” – I’ll post these little tidbits when there are stories that can’t be completely confirmed or don’t constitute a full blog entry, but deserve some attention.
- Acme Cantina has officially changed its name to Acme Lowcountry Kitchen
- The Mount Pleasant Christmas Light Parade had an adult-themed advertising snafu (Post & Courier).

- Officer Resigned Amid Internal Probe – Mount Pleasant police lieutenant resigned amid a probe of a testy phone exchange with a resident (Mount Pleasant Patch).
- The location for Pecha Kucha 16 has been announced. It will be held at GrowFood Carolina’s warehouse at 990 Morrison Drive. The event is on 12/12/12.
- Rumor has it that The Ordinary, the new Mike Lata venture, will open this month (Eater Charleston).
- The Beckett Agency, who has worked on events with Mellow Mushroom and other area businesses, is now working with The Brick.
- Skate Park Proposed on Shem Creek (Mount Pleasant Patch).
- Friends of the site – The Orange Spot Coffeehouse and Old You were featured in Charlie Mag’s The 2012 Book. I was able to locate the magazine at the Charleston Bicycle Company on Savannah Highway (West Ashley).
- A new great white shark has been tracked off the South Carolina coast (Post & Courier).
