blackhistoryWhile cruising around The Digitel Charleston yesterday, I became aware of the detailed list of Black History Month events on the Post & Courier’s website.

February 7th (through March 7th)

2:30 pm – Civil Rights era photographs – Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting St.

Saturday, February 9th

10 am – African Masks: Hands-on History Workshop – Charleston Museum, 360 Meeting St.

10 am – From Slavery to Freedom – Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, Ashley River Road

Monday, February 11th

7:30 pm – A Movement for Rosa – Charleston Southern University Lightsey Chapel Auditorium, 9200 University Blvd.

Tuesday, February 12

6 pm – Palmetto Archaeology Lecture Series, Charleston County Public Library, 68 Calhoun St.

Saturday, February 16th
