County Encourages You To Turn Off Lights
Charleston County is encouraging its residents to turn off their lights for “Earth Hour” on March 23rd at 8:30 pm.
The County stated, in a press release, the following:
Charleston County’s Environmental Management Department encourages citizens to participate in Earth Hour, which is a worldwide movement uniting hundreds of countries for a common cause: the protection of the planet.
On March 23 at 8:30 p.m. local time, hundreds of millions of people around the world will turn off their lights for Earth Hour, the world’s largest collective display of commitment to protect the planet. By turning off all lights for just 60 minutes on the evening of Saturday, March 23, County residents can take positive action for the environment and inspire others to do the same.
