Charleston Rally For Marriage Equality
The steps of the US Custom House will be home to a Marriage Equality Rally this Monday at 6 pm. Charleston’s Alliance for Full Acceptance (AFFA) will host the event at the East Bay Street landmark.
AFFA planned the rally “on the 48th anniversary of the Selma march and on the eve of the Supreme Court hearings about whether lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Americans should have the freedom to marry.”
The event is free and open to the public. Any LGBT people and “allies who believe in equality and justice are encouraged to attend.”
