Down on the Bayou
This April 7th the bayous of Louisiana will be a lot closer than you think – that’s because the annual Lowcountry Cajun Festival will be returning to the James Island County Park.
The party starts at noon and will feature Zydeco music, Cajun/Creole food, children’s activities, a crawfish-eating contest and more.
I attended the festival a few years ago and tried some delicious food. Some of the items available for purchase are: jambalaya, alligator, etouffe, andouille sausage and crawfish. Not of fan of New Orleans-styled cuisine? There are also plenty of other options available.
The event is $10 per person, but free for Gold Pass Members and children ages 12 and under. You also have the chance of winning free tickets from Q104.5.
