2013 Bridge Run Events

The hugely popular Cooper River Bridge Run is this Saturday, but there is far more involved than just the big race.

There are a few events tied to this year’s run, plus some other goodies.

For instance, you can download the Cooper River Bridge Run App for your iPhone or Android device. This unique application gives you info on weekend events, local restaurant deals, race news, course maps, and more. You can also track runners in the premium version.

Don’t forget to purchase the Bands of the Bridge Run CD, Run With Me, at the expo or online. The album was put together by The Music Initiative/this is noteworty.

Here is a list of this year’s official and unofficial Cooper River Bridge Run events (It should be noted that MANY bars and restaurants offer extended hours and/or specials, but it’s darn near impossible to know them all. Let me know if I missed anything):

Thursday, 4/4/13

12 pm – 8 pm – Bridge Run Expo/Packet Pick-up – Charleston Area Convention Center

Pick-up your packet and check out some vendors

7:30 pm – The 15th Annual Bridge Run Reading – Blue Bicycle Books

Book readings, wine and hors d’oeuvres

Friday, 4/5/13

8 am – 8 pm – Bridge Run Expo/Packet Pick-up – Charleston Area Convention Center

Pick-up your packet and check out some vendors

11 am – Cooper River Bridge Run Kids Run and Wonderfest – Hampton Park

Events for the Kids will range from short distances up to a mile. In addition there will be a party with activities, foods and drinks. There will also be child entrepreneurs displaying their products, children entertainers and musical acts, top national toy manufacturers displaying the summer’s hottest toys, a Wonder Works toy play zone with the store’s most popular toys, games and gadgets, and a free toy for every child in attendance.

9 am – Bridge Run Party – The Alley
