Take Back the Night 2013

The Charleston-based organization, People Against Rape, have partnered with MUSC’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program, in sponsoring the 2013 Take Back the Night event.

It will take place this Thursday (4/4) at 6 pm at Brittlebank Park and is open to the public.

This year’s theme is “Shatter the Silence. Stop the Violence” and will consist of:

• Brief commentary on the importance of raising awareness about and eliminating sexual violence in the community
• Arts-related projects
• Events encouraging creative expression about the vital need to stop violent sexual crimes.
• Activities for children and families
• Food trucks
• Poetry Reading
• Music from The V-Tones
