What Took So Long? FoodFilm Festival Set for May
Charlestonians already know that movies and food go together. Need proof? We’ve got Cinebarre, a venue that celebrates the dyanmic duo every day.
Fittingly, a new event dedicated to the combination will take over the Holy City next month. That event is the Charleston FoodFilm Festival and it takes place on both May 10th and 11th.
The FoodFilm Festival is a “competitive film festival that presents awards in multiple categories including: Best Feature, Best Short, Best Super-Short, Best Food Porn, Food Filmmaker of the Year and the Audience Choice Award.” There are versions of the event scheduled for Chicago and New York City as well.

- Featuring Chef Amanda Cohen from NYC’s Dirt Candy and Chef Keizo Shimamoto.
- Canadian maple syrup taffy making
- 9 films will be shown
- Tickets: $50 / VIP $65
- Doors open at 7:00 pm, VIP pre-party at 6:30 pm
