The Great Intern Competition

Published

on

Everyone seems to hate the interview process. Applicants can easily fudge their resumes and put on an act long enough to look like the perfect hire. Meanwhile on the other end of the spectrum, interviews can all be for show because someone has already been chosen for the position. What a waste of time, right?

The Becket Agency, a well-respected, local public relations firm, seems to share that sentiment because instead of a setting up a typical interview to pick their next intern, the group created their own unique hiring process called “The Great Intern Competition.”

Here are the details straight from managing partner Jonah Jeter’s blog:

  • Interested parties have to go to the Becket Agency’s Facebook page and write what they will bring to the table. All posts must go on the agency’s wall. Deadline for submissions is Friday, May 10, 2013.
  • The best applicants will be chosen for an in-person interview which includes a two minute pitch for a client campaign. Question-and-answer will follow
  • The winner will earn a Summer internship.

Think you’ve got what it takes to win “The Great Intern Competition”?  Then head over to The Becket Agency’s Facebook page and apply.
