Stephen Colbert Abandons South Carolina

Published

on

colbertLast night was the first time Stephen Colbert was able to address his sister Elizabeth Colbert Busch’s congressional loss to Mark Sanford and he did not disappoint.

During yesterday’s The Colbert Report, Stephen said he is so upset, he will now claim he is from North Carolina instead of the Palmetto State. This decision was met begrudgingly and brought about some salty language. – “I’m a Tar Heel now. Whatever the fuck that means.”

He also said, “The voters have spoken. Mark Sanford has beaten my sister, and I believe that means that Mark Sanford is now my sister. And on behalf of my family I want to say that we’re deeply sorry about him.”

Geez, didn’t we have a Democratic president that was having sex with his intern. And, didn’t he lie not only to the American public but UNDER OATH? So why didn’t you decide to declare another country? Oh, he wasn’t a Republican and everyone knows you can’t forgive a Republican.

The good news for you Stephen is South Carolina doesn’t want or need you! We don’t take kindly to people who think it funny when 4 Americans are killed by terrorists in a foreign country…There are some things that should not be turned into jokes!

One generation does not create “heritage.” That said I love the Colbert Report and Sanford is an embarrassment, but if we were not talking about a fictional character or characters this might make senses. I think Colbert Bushe is a real person, though what her political believes are float out in space somewhere. I know the man on the Colbert Report is acting and Sanford is almost a total figment of his own ego. He is conjured up into a real stick figure by the chanting of far right Republicans.
