The Super Bowl of Home-Brewing Returns

The Holy City’s largest home-brewing competition returns to Holy City Brewing on Saturday, August 3rd at 4 pm. Over 50 teams will display their own beers in hopes of being named winner of Iron Brew II. Each brewer was given three months to create any type of beer they want, as long as they use some combination of the following ingredients: rosemary, lavender, coriander seed, and basil.

The victor’s beer will be produced by the brewery and will be featured on-tap at the Mellow Mushroom locations in Avondale, Charleston & Summerville.

The best part? You can attend the event and sample the beers! All it takes is a $10 donation to the Gavalas Kolanko Foundation and you’re in! Admission gets you drink tickets and the ability to vote on each brew.

The event will also feature pizza slices from the Mellow Mushroom Bake Bus, live music by Weigh Station and, of course, a wide variety of Holy City beers in their tasting room.
