14th Annual Chili Cook-Off & Oyster Roast for CAS
The Charleston Animal Society’s 14th Annual Celebrity Chili Cook-off and Oyster Roast may be the most important fundraiser in the shelter’s history.
The organization recently implemented an ambitious goal to become a “No Kill” facility by 2015. They are on track to become the Southeast’s first No Kill community by the end of this year, but it has taken a tremendous toll on the group’s funds. That is why this year’s Chili Cook-off and Oyster Roast is so important.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 1 pm at Joe Riley Park and will include:
- Chili samplings, “endless oysters”, local beers and beverages.
- A Kid Zone
- A “TV Football Zon”e (so you won’t miss any college football games)
- A Game Zone
Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. Kids 10 & under get in free.

Do you know if they will have vendors at the event, and if so, who is a point of contact?

I don’t know the contact or if they will have vendors. Give the main number a call at 843.747.4849 and they should be able to help you out!
