43rd Annual Sertoma Football Classic Starts Tomorrow

The 2013 South Carolina high school football season unofficially kicks-off tomorrow during the 43rd annual Sertoma Football Classic. With 28 local teams participating, this is easily the biggest high school sporting event of the year.

The Sertoma classic features 14 games over two days (8/22 and 8/23) at Johnson Hagood Memorial Stadium in downtown Charleston. Gates open at 4:15 pm with the festivities starting at 5 pm on both days. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased here.

Proceeds for the event are given to local charities and area schools.
