Help a Local Woman Complete her Bucket List
Over a year ago, I wrote about Christiana (Nani) Gilliland, a Wando High School graduate who had been diagnosed with Metastatic Neuroendocrine Sarcoma. Despite having insurance, not all of the costs of Nani’s treatments were going to be covered. The family began accepting donations and her mother set up a Facebook page to update everyone on Nani’s journey.
For someone on the outside looking in, that journey has seemed to have had some incredibly joyful moments and some equally devastating occurrences. I can’t even imagine what it’s been like for her and her family.
Earlier this month, Christiana’s cancer returned. She is still fighting – she just had major brain surgery to remove a golf ball-sized tumor – and has put together a bucket list, but she will need some help completing it.
