“Orange is the New Black” Star To Speak at LGBT Youth Rally
Laverne Cox, a transgender advocate and actress on the hit Netflix series Orange is the New Black, will speak at the 4th Annual “Spirit Day Rally and Candle Light Vigil” at the College of Charleston’s Physicians Auditorium on October 17th. Cox will also appear at a VIP After Party later that night.

Cox, who grew up as a transgender youth in the South, will meet with students from 5 pm until the beginning of the rally at 6 pm. The rally will include a live performance from Megan Jean and the KFB and speeches.
