Guy Harvey Awards South Carolina Aquarium with Grant

Marine wildlife artist Guy Harvey will visit the South Carolina Aquarium on Saturday to present the facility with a $75,000 grant on behalf of his Ocean Foundation. The grant will be used to help fund the Aquarium’s newest exhibit, “Shark Shallows”, which is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2014.
The grant presentation will take place on the Aquarium’s Riverside Terrace at 10:15 am.
According to a press release, the funds for the grant were generated through royalty sales of the Guy Harvey South Carolina Education Lottery.
If you are interested in meeting Guy Harvey, he will be at the new Palmetto Moon in Mount Pleasant following the presentation. You can catch him from noon until 2 pm on Saturday.
