11th Annual Blessing of the Vines Festival Set for 11/9

The 11th Annual Blessing of the Vines Festival will be held at Irvin~House Vineyards on Saturday, November 9th from 12 pm until 5 pm. As usual, the public is invited to attend the event.
Oenophiles who attend will be able to witness the blessing of the muscadine grapevines by Father Greg Snyder, enjoy live music by The Jefferson Coker Band, and much more. Patrons can also enjoy the annual sugar cane crushing, a shrimp and grits cook off by local Johns Island chefs, pony rides, hula-hoops and face painting for the kids.
Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a blanket to relax on. Food will be available for purchase from Stono Cafe, Tomato Shed Cafe, Home Team BBQ, the Dulce Truck and King of Pops.
The event begins at noon. Admission is $10.00 per car with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Frierson Elementary After School Program and The Center for Women.
