2013 Buy Local Month Has Begun!
This year’s Buy Local Month starts TODAY and will once again be hosted by Lowcountry Local First. The group will be putting on multiple events that promote local businesses and products. Even if you don’t participate in any of their activities, be sure to frequent local businesses this month (and every month for that matter)! The celebration runs through December 15th.
The goal of Buy Local Month is to “educate the public and shift consumer spending, keeping holiday dollars flowing within our local economy.”
The biggest event, Shop Local Saturday, will be on November 30th and fittingly coincides with Small Business Saturday.
