“The Polar Express” Now Playing in 4-D at the SC Aquarium
The South Carolina Aquarium is now playing The Polar Express 4-D Experience in its 4-D Immersion Theater through January 1, 2014. The movie is about 15 minutes long, runs multiple times a day, and is suitable for all ages.The film is based on Chris Van Allsburg’s classic children’s novel about a young boy whose love for Christmas is waning. However, his views begin to change when he ends up taking a magical journey aboard a train bond for the North Pole. You may have read the story and/or seen the full-length film, but this 4-D experience is quite different.
The Immersion Theater combines 3-D imagery with interactive seating and special effects. It seats 50 people and is located right next to the Aquarium’s entrance.
4-D Theater tickets can be purchased as part of the Premier Pass to the Aquarium, or individually for $6.95. The theater is also showing Sea Monster 4-D: A Prehistoric Adventure. Click here for more information.
