Cypress, Christophe Among ’14 Good Food Award Finalists
Two Holy City businesses were among the finalists announced yesterday for the upcoming 2014 Good Food Awards. East Bay Street restaurant Cypress and artisan chocolatier Christophe were Charleston’s lone nominees.
The Good Food Awards “honor people who make food that is delicious, respectful of the environment, and connected to communities and cultural traditions.”
Cypress is a finalist in the Charcuterie category thanks to their Culatello. Culatello is a type of prosciutto. Cypress has won this category three years running. Their Picante Salami, Soppressata, and Cypressata previously took home the hardware.
Meanwhile, Christophe Artisan Chocolatier’s Dark Chocolate Espresso bar earned one of the nominations in the Confections category.
Winners will be announced during a ceremony on January 16th. You can see all the other finalists here.
Visit Cypress or Christophe for more information on the respective businesses.
