JI Goodwill Employee Finds and Returns over $2k; Donates Reward
Here’s a story that should warm your heart this Thanksgiving – Yesterday, a James Island Goodwill employee found a large sum of money and returned it to the rightful owner. Here is how the Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina’s Facebook page told the story:
One of our store associates was pricing wares yesterday and found over $2000.00 dollars, along with some paperwork, belonging to a local doctor’s office. The office was contacted and the belongings were returned. After the doctor insisted on a reward for the safe return of the money and paperwork, our generous employee donated it to the Goodwill Angel Tree.
The Post & Courier dug up much more on this story. You can read about it here.
