Singer-songwriter Barry Manilow hopes the Charleston community will follow his lead as he brings his Manilow Music Project to the Charleston County School District. The project has previously started music instrument drives throughout the country in an effort to assist schools with their music programs and now its Charleston’s turn.

Manilow is donating a Yamaha piano to kick-off the instrument drive here in the Holy City and is rewarding anyone else who participates. Anyone who donates a new (or gently used) musical instrument to the North Charleston Coliseum box office will receive 2 free tickets to Manilow’s January 19th show at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.

Donations will be accepted now through January 19th. The drop off location is open Monday through Friday between 10 am and 5 pm.

For more information on the Manilow Music Project visit http://www.manilowmusicproject.org/.

Tickets for the January 19th show are available online at Manilow.com or Ticketmaster.com, in person at the North Charleston Coliseum Box Office, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
