Mick Jagger to Attend Masquerade Ball in Charleston?
Is Mick Jagger, the iconic front man of The Rolling Stones, coming to Charleston to celebrate Mardi Gras?
If the official website for the Charleston Mardi Gras is to be believed, the singer will be attending the 5th Anniversary Krewe of Charleston Masquerade Ball on February 8th.
Krewe of Charleston’s Donnie Bulliard told The Post & Courier that someone from the singer’s camp called the organization about arrangements for the event. When asked by the newspaper if this news was “for real,” his reponse was not exactly confidence-inspiring: “Well, let me tell you, you never know.”
Publicity stunt or the real deal? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
***UPDATE, 3:35pm*** – As you can see in the comments below, Bulliard says Jagger’s appearance is for real.

It is for REAL. I’ve had over 3 conversations with the leader of the entourage. Jagger is working on a biopic of James Brown in and around Atlanta.
Apparently, the crew is off next weekend and looking for fun.
Hey, even Mick Jagger likes to have fun.

Google is your friend. Although this case might be an exception.
“Get On Up” wrapped filming in Jackson MS last weekend.
The Rolling Stones will be opening their “14 On Fire” tour in Abu Dhabi on 21 February. Mr. Jagger will most likely be rehearsing with his bandmates on or around 8 February, not attending this event in Charleston SC.
Good luck shifting those remaining tickets, sir.
