Lowcountry Local First’s Growing New Farmers Apprenticeship

buylocalLowcountry Local First is trying to “cultivate future farmers” through their Growing New Farmers Apprenticeship program. The apprencticeship provides hands-on training, workships, mentorship, and networking to anyone looking to begin a career in agriculture.

The organization is currently accepting applications for the program. Apprentices will receive classroom and field training and opportunities for mentorship over a 10 month period.

The program costs are $2,000 a year and includes all program materials, training, and workshops. Scholarships and payment plans are available.
