Fodor’s: Charleston is One of the World’s Most Romantic Getaways

Fodor’s recently chose Charleston as one of the world’s “most romantic getaways,” making it the first (of only two) American cities to be included. The Holy City was 4th on the list of 15.

The publication praised Charleston’s “pristine gardens, historic ambiance, and laid-back Southern charm.”  Mount Pleasant’s Memorial Waterfront Park, the Charleston Harbor, Tristan, and Boone Hall Plantation were all mentioned as romantic spots to visit.

Maui was the only other U.S. city included, while Bali, Indonesia topped the list.
