James Beard Foundation Names Semi-Finalists; Charleston Well-Represented

Earlier today, The James Beard Foundation announced the semi-finalists for their 2014 Restaurant and Chef Award categories and Charleston was well-represented.

Here’s a look at the nominees from the Holy City:

• Outstanding Chef: Sean Brock, McCrady’s
• Outstanding Wine Program: FIG
• Outstanding Service: McCrady’s
• Best Chef Southeast:
  • Jeremiah Bacon, The Macintosh
  • Kevin Johnson, The Grocery
  • Josh Keeler, Two Boroughs Larder

The finalists will be announced on Tuesday, March 18th, with the winners being revealed on Monday, May 5th. You can view the entire list of semi-finalists here.
