Broad Street Closed Due to Bomb Threat
UPDATE, 2/24/14, 1:02 pm – The Post & Courier‘s Natalie Caula Hauff is reporting that the scene has been cleared and traffic is now allowed to travel through Meeting and Broad Street.

Traffic allowed to go through Meeting and Broad.
Broad Street has been closed since around 11 this morning due to a bomb threat called into the downtown courthouse. Police said their dispatch center received a call about an explosive device being inside of a white van that was parked in front of the post office on Broad Street.
Authorities, including the bomb squad, are currently on the scene. Police has said the federal courthouse has been evacuated, but not the county courthouse.
The Post & Courier is reporting that Broad Street is closed is closed between its intersections with Legare and Meeting Streets.
