The RiverDogs Announce This Season’s Promos & Specials

With the start of the 2014 baseball season just a few weeks away, the Charleston RiverDogs have been drumming up excitement by announcing some of this year’s promotions and specials. Besides the action the field, here are some of the things fans can enjoy this year at  Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park:

• Mondays
  • “Dollar Dogs and Dollar Beer Mondays”
    • $1 hot dogs and $1 beers in the Ashley View Pub located above the third base line.
  • Dogs With A Cause
    • Benefits a different local charity each Monday
• Tuesdays 
  • “2 for $20 Tuesdays”
  • Fans can purchase two game tickets, two tacos, two small fountain drinks, and a plate of nachos for $20 by showing their Harris Teeter VIC card at the box office.
• Wednesdays
  • “Wins-days”
  • The RiverDogs guarantee they will win, but if they don’t win, the club will honor your ticket for free admission to the next Wednesday home game.
  • “MeTV Senior Nights”
    • All seniors can purchase special $5 tickets for Wednesday games
    • All seniors that enter the gates before 7 pm will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, a bag of chips, and a fountain drink.
    • All fans will be able to purchase a hot dog, chips, and a fountain drink for only $7 before 7pm.
• Thursdays
  • “Budweiser Thirsty Thursday”
  • Music from DJ Natty Heavy and $1 beers in the Ashley View Pub above the third base line.
• Fridays
  • “Red Shirt Friday”
    • All fans who wear red shirts to the game will save $1 off the purchase of their ticket at the box office. Fans will also have the opportunity to then donate that dollar to assist two military-themed charities, the Folds of Honor Foundation and Canines for Veterans.
    • Players will wear red jerseys that will be auctioned at the conclusion of the season with the proceeds benefitting the aforementioned charities
    • Local distributor Southern Eagle will donate $100 to Folds of Honor for every home run hit by a RiverDogs player
  • “Titus the Wonder Dog”
    • Titus, a pup from Canines for Veterans, will serve as “batboy”
• Saturdays
  • “Family Time”
    • Giveaways to the first 1,000 fans on selected dates
    • Collectible items will be given away on five dates
      • April 12th: Bill Murray T-shirts
      • May 10th: Tony the Peanut Man bobblehead
      • June 7th: A Jackie Robinson replica jersey
      • July 5th: Harold Ramis Ghostbusters bobblehead
      • July 19th: Bill Veeck bobbleleg (yes, a bobbleleg)
      • August 17th: Charlie’s A-B-C coloring book
  • “Social Media Saturday”
    • Fans can use social media to choose what they want to see/hear in the ball park
  • “Community Nights”
    • Each Lowcountry neighborhood will have its own special night
  • Kids can run the bases after each Saturday game
• Sundays
  • “Kids Club Sundays”
    • Free parking
    • All RiverDogs Kids Club members get a voucher for a free meal upon entering
    • Pregame catch on the field
    • “Reading with the RiverDogs”
    • Postgame autograph session with the entire RiverDogs team and loveable mascots
