Buzzworthy: Charleston Honey & Bee Expo is this Sunday

The 3rd Annual Charleston Honey & Bee Expo will be held this Sunday at Cinebarre in Mount Pleasant from 11 am until 5 pm. This free, family-friendly event should be a fun way to close out the Cooper River Bridge Run weekend.

The event includes a 1:30 pm showing on the documentary More Than Honey. Tickets to see the movie are $5 each.

The expo itself will include:

• Local beekeepers
• An observation hive with live bees
• Honey-tasting
• Children’s games, arts & crafts
• Ability to buy local honey
• Sample wine made from local honey
• Honey Cotton Candy
• Sermet’s Courtyard – appetizer/salad bites made with local honey
• Free displays in theater lobby and outdoors
• Pet-friendly (outdoor exhibit)
