RiverDogs Hosting Mardi Gras-Themed Golf Tournament
The Charleston RiverDogs’ 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will feature food, drinks, and a “Mardi Golf” theme. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6th at the Wild Dunes Resort.
The tournament is a four-man Captain’s Choice format that will begin with an 11 am shotgun start. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place teams. Plus, prizes will also be handed out to the team with the best golf cart decor, best costume, and best Mardi Gras mask. The grand prize of the day is a trip to New Orleans.
Besides golfing, participants can enjoy contests at each hole on the course. Events include a cake walk, French toast stacking, “greasing the poles” competition, crawfish chucking, and feather juggling.
The cost to participate is $500 per foursome and includdes green and cart fees, range balls, a golfer gift and goodie bag, a box lunch, unlimited beverages, admission to the awards ceremony and a Cajun-style dinner.
The tournament benefits the Medical University of South Carolina’s Storm Eye Institute.
