thefixTheFIX.fm, Charleston’s brand-new online radio station, is hosting a party at downtown art collective Tivoli this Saturday beginning at 8 pm. The station is celebrating its recent launch and the May 1st release of its iPhone and Android application.

The party will include live music, DJs, video projections, live art, beer and wine, food vendors, raffle prizes, and an on-site radio broadcast.

Susto, Johnny Delaware, and Lily Slay of The Royal Tinfoil will perform from 8 pm until 11 pm and then DJs Cool Hand J, Party Dad, and guests will take over.

The party will have a “Going Yachting” theme, which means guests are encouraged, to dress in nautical attire or formal wear.

Entrance to the event is $5 and includes wine and beer on tap, while supplies last. Any attendees of the College of Charleston Alumni Association’s “A Charleston Affair” will be free entrance and access to drinks. Food will be available for purchase from Pep Rolls.

TheFIX.fm was created by Kinetic HiFi founders Brad Cooper and Boyd Stough. In the most recent Charleston City Paper “Best Of” awards, Kinetic HiFi. was chosen as “Best Local Radio Station.”

The duo describe the format of TheFix.fm as “indie, alternative, electronic, and local.” The station will have a regular rotation of more than 40 local artists, live mix shows, in-studio interviews and performances, and more.
