Leukemia & Lymphoma Fundraiser on May 8th at The Shelter

Chive On Charleston, a local chapter of the popular humor and photo website The Chive, will present a fundraiser for the National Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on Thursday, May 8th at The Shelter Kitchen & Bar. The event starts at 7 pm.

The fundraiser will also benefit a Mount Pleasant resident named Jerry Meyers who is fighting cancer for the second time.

There is no admission to the event, but there are plenty of ways you can donate:

• $15 wristbands will be sold at the door (ALL proceeds from wristband sales will be donated)
  • Wristband entitles you to a ticket for the door prize drawing and the following special prices:
    • $2 Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Light, Mich Ultra or Bud 55
    • $3 Yuengling draft
    • $3 Well drinks
    • $4 house wine
    • 1/2 off select appetizers
    • $3 Summer Hummer drinks
• The Satellite bar will have Yeungling Summer Wheat for $3 each (ALL proceeds from these sales will be donated)
• Cornhole Tournament with $5 buy-in (ALL proceeds will be donated)

The event will also include live music, a live radio broadcast by 95.9FM, and Hummer Drink promos and tasting.
