Charleston DIY Festival Debuts This Month
The inaugural Charleston DIY Festival is set for Saturday, May 17th from 2 pm until 5 pm at the Charleston County Public Library. The event is FREE to attend.
If you couldn’t tell from the festival’s name, “it is designed to celebrate the “Do-It-Yourself” philosophy and the “artists, craftspeople, businesses, organizations, musicians, and technology advocates who support creativity and inventiveness to collaborate with the greater Charleston community. It’ll also give people a chance to see every day tools like heavy duty grinders in action.”
The event will feature:
- Interactive booths
- Demonstrations
- Live music: Is This Halloween Music? and The V-Tones
- DIY 4 Kids: Crafts for kids
- Lectures
If you have questions or are interested in being an exhibitor or lecturer, call 843-805-6930 or e-mail Amanda Holling at hollinga@ccpl.org or Megan Summers at summersm@ccpl.org.
