Dishes from Husk and Poe’s Tavern made The Daily Meal‘s list of the 101 Best Burgers in America. Impressively, both were in the top 50.
Husk’s cheeseburger, which is no stranger to similar accolades, checks in at # 13 on the massive list. The sandwich was lauded by the website for having hickory-smoked bacon ground into the patty and for having delicious toppings. The cheeseburger includes housemade buns that are “smeared with butter and beef fat,” American cheese, shaved white onions, bread-and-butter pickles, a “special sauce, lettuce and tomato (when in season).
The Hop Frog burger from Poe’s Tavern was placed in the 47th spot. The website describes the burger as having a patty that is ground in-house daily, crispy applewood-smoked bacon, Monterrey Jack cheese, barbecue sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and fried onions.
