Thomas Ravenel Prepping for Senate Run

According to multiple reports, Thomas Ravenel, the former state treasurer and recent star of Southern Charm, is preparing to run as an independent for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Republican Lindsey Graham.

Both The State and Post & Courier are reporting that Ravenel is in the process of collecting voter signatures so he can be added to this November’s ballot. If he can amass at least 10,000 signatures, Ravenel will compete against Graham, Democrat Brad Hutto and Libertarian Victor Kocher for the senate seat. Ravenel must submit the signatures by July 15th.
